Ok, so I know I have been neglectful of my blog. Been a little too involved in doing other things I guess, so I promise to be more attentive! Had a photo shoot the other night with an awesome family from Georgia. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Awesome family, lots of fun…hope to see them again one day!

My friend Sherry, who I have blogged about before, has this great store in Ormond Beach called Molto Bella. She has been gracious enough to now carry a few of my mixed media neighborhood houses that I have been studiously working on. These are all unique, one of a kind pieces, each with a 7 step process from the cut to the satin finish. Picking out the vintage hardware for each one is my favorite part, along with the vintage papers that are applied on each one. The ideas for these are endless and more to come soon.
I’m really excited that my houses are in this particular shop… since it’s my favorite, and Sherry’s dedication to her customers and products are extraordinary to say the least. If you are in the area make sure to stop for a visit, or check out her site at www.moltobellaboutique.com – you will be back! And last but not least, you won’t be able to resist George - Sherry’s rescue pup, who is there to greet you when you come in the door. He’s a great dog, and everybody wants a piece of him. Really. Everyone wants to take him home and everyone asks for him when they come in. I thought I would share a couple of photos of George in action from my visit today along with my houses. If you are interested in one, please let Sherry or myself know. Please drop me an email or feel free to call if you are interested in a custom house or neighborhood. You can also view more on my site @ www.lauriandrews.com.

- George doing what he does best! The greeter.

George says enough for the day...see ya next time!
Thank you, Sherry! I look forward to Friday and seeing Rodrigo Otazu at your shop!

What a wonderful family I had the opportunity to photograph last week in Ponce Inlet. Soooo many pics I am still working on them, wanted to share a couple of my favorites so far. What a beautiful family! More to come, hope to see them again sometime!

Meet Brooke – I had the opportunity to photograph Brooke yesterday morning in New Smyrna Beach before her family headed back home. Aside from being absolutely adorable and just beautiful, I instantly knew I was going to have a lot of fun with her photos. Here are just a few I have been playing with…I love adding the textures and different finishes to the originals.
Here is an original….

Here is the same photo with a creme vintage action…

Next is another favorite of mine so far…I just love the sky in these…

The next is the same photo with a vintage texture…these are really beautiful when displayed with white borders. Which ones do you prefer?

So I used to do greeting cards, note cards, etc. of Boston Terriers and other goofy cute things I took photos of. I used to sell them on Ebay and at one time I had quite the following from the Boston Terrier community. So since I always need another project to sink myself into, I decided to start doing the cards again. This time instead of printing them I am going with the handmade card 5×7 with the 4×6 photo on the front and blank on the inside. Will post more when I have them made…will probably have a couple of series sets such as.. For The Love of Dogs, Friendship, Love, etc. That way you can purchase one or a set!
Everything will be available for custom cards as well, which means your own photographs and/or text can be used. Let me know what you think…I’m starting with the Love of Dogs series first, of course. All come presented in their own individual crystal sleeve, cards are hand signed by me and suitable for framing.

So this one above is titled “I Love You More Than Pancakes”…I couldn’t resist.

This one above I have not titled yet…any suggestions?

The complete set of four above…and a special thanks to Louie, the model. Unfortunately, my previous ham, um model, Bailey, has decided that at the age of 12 she can no longer handle or afford personal body guards nor the media attention like she once did without a considerable increase in bones, toys and Serta Mattress dog beds…so upon the advice of Paula Abdul she has decided to not return to the set since her demands could not be met. We wish her well.
The pouting continues…such is the life of a diva dog.

Next in the series….Friendship/Romance Series – Two Cards

Top one ~Best Friends Forever~ and the bottom one ~I Would Follow You To The Ends of the Earth~
More to come…stay tuned!

I met Kaelyn and her mom at Ponce Inlet this week for Kaelyn’s senior portraits. Once again, we thought we might get rained on but it held long enough for me to rush her through clothing changes – and I so enjoyed taking her photos…great smile, beautiful to photograph! Of course as soon as we finished the sky opened up and rained on them I’m sure all the way back to Orlando. They were here checking out colleges..I told her anywhere except University of Florida (we Bulldog fans have to stick together you know…)! Here are a few of her pics!

Okay, so I know this has absolutely nothing to do with photography - but I kinda like to share when I find something I really like. Last weekend I ventured to Orlando to the Mall of Millenia and found this store. I have been in one before but can’t place where it was. This is an awesome store! Overpriced clothes? Definitely! But their candles, dinnerware, bohemian table cloths, pillows, bedding and curtains are unique, funky, and right up my alley. Check out their site…and make sure to visit the “at home” section…love it, love it, love it! And yes, I bought an expensive pair of jeans. But they do have a sale section.

If you are ever in MY area though, we do have some nice boutiques right here in Ormond Beach so stop in and visit…These are two of my favorites:
Molto Bella Boutique – Make sure and ask if George is around, he’s a great rescue dog that keeps watch over the store with his owner Sherry and he’s awesome!
www.moltobellaboutique.com
Downtown Divas – Monique will help you with anything you need – great bags, great clothes, great art!

And last but not least (I guess I have the need to share today) while I’m going on about great finds…this is an online store that I bought from last year and am buying from again this year. Yes, I know I live in Florida and this is a cold weather store, but sometimes for a few days, or in Atlanta at Christmas, I get to wear my cool pink hibiscus wool sweater.

Let me know what you think!
